Mediocre

Initially, I was impressed by St. Charles Square, but that was before I moved in. The model unit I was shown was much nicer than the unit I rented. The building, it seemed, was poorly constructed. The walls, floors, and ceilings were as far from soundproof as you can get, there were even a couple places in our kitchen floor that felt sunken in. On a few occasions, we had problems with our neighbors downstairs, who claimed that we were stomping around and making too much noise, when in reality, I was only cooking dinner. This goes to show how thin walls and floors are here. Our cabinets were extremely shoddy as well, the shelves were for the most part all buckled.
Also, the door to enter our building was hardly ever locked, most of the time other residents would prop it up with a stick. This made me feel rather unsafe. The telephone entry system they advertise did not work either.
Parking was the worst problem of all, however. There were nights when I had to park two or three buildings away from mine. In my lot, it was common for people to double-park their cars, which proved to be even more frustrating when neither the office nor the police would do anything about it.
Overall, my experience living at St. Charles Square was quite mediocre.
