This is only for people who are trying to get on there feet, not a place you want to raise a family. I've been living there too long, for nothing. Management isn't helpful, they let people they know live there(family) do what they want, if you have visitors they must park in visitors parking. This would be okay, but half the time there isn't anywhere for them to park so they have to take a risk that they might get their car towed. This place is ridiculous!

I definatletly agree if you are trying to raise a family this is not the place there is a lot of drug traffic and the police walk on feet within the complex , harrasing not only the drug dealers but the good people that has jobs.the rules they have are ridiculous, the fist day me and my fiance moved in we was not aware of the parking problem nor was told that we needed to park in vistors , when we woke up our car was TOWED -------what kind of place is this , i mean it is suppose to be fore low income and yet it seems like good people can not catch a break here , so please if this is your only option to have a place to live , honestly you would be better off staying with some one you know until you can do better because the system here is to make you assum that fox view is here to help people get on there feets but in reality its POSION FOR YOU YOUR KIDS FAMILY ANY BODY YOU LOVE , SO PLEASE I WOULD RATHER TAKE CHANCES SLEEPING IN A CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESSERT .THAN LOSING A LOVE ON TO THIS COMMUNITY THAT SO CALLS IT SELF A HELP ............ WITH THAT SAID GOD BLESS YOU IN YOUR SEARCH FOR A HOME AND A BETTER LIFE

The previous statements are correct, but they are not ultimate truth as I read them they hold thier own bias. the present situation of Foxview Apartments are not of the best conditions to raise a family or even invite your friends and familiy to visit at the time. The community is for low income residences in Illinios and those who are just starting out in the real world. Foxview is more for the people who are used to the city life of Chicago projects for those people it would be a more pleasent change. I will have to say that we must not overlook the efforts to make Foxview a more safer atmosphere for the residences as a hinderence. For an example the visitors parking is established because most of the residence that populate the community are not of residence legally so Foxview initiate the visitor parking to discourage any non-residences of staying over night. Most of the people that populate the community of non-residence are a mojority of the time to be assumed to be of a negative infuence on the community so the police officer potrol the area and question some of more suspicious characters to try to enforce some stability. Some times consequently mistakes happen like towing a residences car or putting a residence under suspicioun, but these all are efforts to make the community more productive and positive. What is left out of the previous statements are that Foxview does offer a lot of perks. They furnish a gym for the residences, a computer center for the more under-previlidged residence, a community school for the children (with seasoned teachers), a camp program for summer established to keep toddlors productive, transportaion to and from school in convient places, transportation to and form other after school activities like boys and girls club, transportation to and from a veriety of different churches, a landremate at the exitting end of the community with a pond, their is even an in-house security facility for the residences protection, the highscool and elementry is walking distance away, the enviorement is surrounded by trees and the occosional wild sometime right in your back yard you get to experience the natural world, a truck comes down once a month handing out free food and house supplies to the community( Oreos, fresh poultry, Pine-sol, and other goodies, special bullitins are handed out by the sercurity personally door by door, the local bus PACE frequents the area every half hour from six to nine one weekdays and by the hour on weekends except on sunday of course, and the office is open form nine to five on weekdays for help assisting any residence and the maintence is always on call even at 1:00 in the morning. So Foxview does have its rotten apples, but i am only a source of an opinion and should not be taken as sole truth anyone who reads this should do thier own research and compare the facts. I hope you find the right place to live but dont always believe what you until you gather your own facts. Hoped I helped in your process of find a home to call yours, but if your are cacucasion this may not be of the best living enviorments to live in so continue your search from here it will be of yur best interest.

Yes thier are positives to fox view apartments and thier are negatives. First of all, I have no problem with the management here I feel they do thier best under the circumstances they face. A lot of the people who live here are from Chicago projects and they have no home training. A lot of people here live and thrive on chaos. During the summer here people let thier children run wild while they sit in thier homes or they are around the corner drinking while their kids harrass your kids. Men sale drugs here 24/7. I'm just wondering who would complain about the police patrolling this area because they patrol for our safety. I don't care if an innocent person gets harassed now and again because this let's me know that the police are atleast trying to do their jobs. Fox view is not the best place to live but if you are having hard times it does provide relief until you can get on your feet.
