I've been living here since August '07 and it's the biggest mistake I've ever made. The management changed right before I moved in and I have to say it's pretty ridiculous. The girl that is in charge of the entire complex is younger than I am (I'm a third year vet student at U of I and 24) and she doesn't have the slightest idea what she's doing. Almost every package that has been sent to me has gone to the office and she has not once notified me that any were there (or any other tenants for that matter). No to mention the fact that maintenance does NOTHING requested of them. My roof has been leaking since early December of this year and it still leaks when it rains. I have had a lot of things damaged and they have basically told me that it's my problem, not theres, despite the fact that I was told multiple times that it was already fixed, and then told I never followed up with it so it MUST have been fixed, just because the idiot manager only put the work order through the one time.

So long story short, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I am moving out in August (Thank God) and now that the University recently bought the complex I didn't really have a choice (not that I would have stayed anyway). I have 3 pets and tenants are now only allowed 2 (cats must be declawed and dogs can't be over a certain weight), plus no coed roommates and they raised rent. I wouldn't pay half of what I'm paying now, so I definitely wouldn't pay more.

Did you happen to live at Sterling Commons before moving to Ashton Woods? With a bunch of fish tanks, a couple cats and a dog? If so, I think we were roomates ^.^ Yes, it's the worst complex ever. I lived there too, stuck there for two years. I've got a review on here too I think.
