Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
First the bad. When I moved in, the place was dirty. There were dust bunnies on the ceiling, the kitchen furniture was old and wobbly, the bedroom furniture was old and wobbly, and my room had a single bed when it should have had a double. But the room was so tiny, I don't know how a double would have fit. The elevator is constantly broken, and my key does not work on the first floor stairwell. I have to go around to the parking garage to get in. It is not cheap to live here. But I got to see the apartment before I signed a lease. The only thing I didn't know about was the elevator and the cost of laundry downstairs. It's cheaper to do laundry in the dorms.
Now the good. The staff is wonderful. When you need something, they'll help. There are no bugs anywhere. It is quiet, besides on the weekends when the kids come out of the bars... but those are weekends, and I'm a nightowl anyway. I feel very safe, and good people live in this building. It's close to campus and Walgreens. I love the place, even though it is old. It's cozy and has lots of character. If my roommate didn't hold such a terrible grudge against the laundry facility, I'd be here next year too.
