John Randolph Atrium Complete Review
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 7/20/2005
Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
Pros:
Paid utilities, Washer/Dryer unit, Each bedroom with a full bathroom, Large living space, Excellent location (2 MTD bus lines during the school year, 24-hr open Osco, Dunkin Donuts across the street, Champaign Downtown is close), Hallways facing indoor so it's never cold in the winter, Underground garage
Cons:
Barr Real does a very poor job as far as maintainance is concerned. They're never on time. We requested a simple leak problem and a bathroom fan problem and it took them nearly 3 months to fix it. During the summer, parking garage is always open and we've had ONE theft so far but other than that, it's pretty secure. Rooms are not equal in sizes and one of the rooms will not have a natural light. All the 2-bedroom apartments in this complex do not get natural sunlight.
Overall:
Bascially, a great place to live with your own bathroom and a great location. Champaign is the city to live in. Excellent price also but you'll have some hard time with the management. They have actually screwed up our payments once and credited other tenants and accused us for paying late. However, it got all sorted out eventually. Internet can be worked out if you know someone that's living directly above or below you because wireless internet works well that way and you can split the cost.
