705 W. Church Apt I in Champaign was rented by my son. Got the refund of his security deposit today and Im angry to say the least. When he moved in last August the apt was very dirty. Dirt and pieces of garbage on carpet in bedroom and livingroom. Hairs in the bathroom on stool and floor. Kitchen floor was dirty. You had someone go in and clean this apartment on the 14th of August. Tim got charged for cleaning that I had already done. The bathroom was clean including the toilet and sink and tub. He is being charged for caulking around tub. First it was nasty and moldy when he moved in and that should be your responsibility as upkeep. The lights were working in both the bedroom and kitchen when I left on the 3rd of august. Patio door was filthy and track was full of leaves when he moved in. I cleaned that also. Was not dirty when I left. Ceiling fan blades were loose when he moved in. Patio such as it is was also cleaner when he left. There was NO garbage under sink. Someone is making money off of each tenant that moves out and this is --------. How can you charge someone to clean when the place was already clean. I realize they will not reimburse my son his money but I will tell anyone who ask how Barr treats its tenants.
