Do not lease from Barr. They ignore your maintenance request and let their properties go to trash. The place I lived in did not have windows, and it took them four months of calls and a building inspector visit to get them to do something. They will not give you your full security deposit back no matter how well you maintain your apartment, deducting fees for "cleaning." Everyone I've talked to in my building moved in to a non-clean apartment even without doing early move in. The parking lot was full of glass that never was cleaned up. The roof sagged and leaked and the neighbor building threw couches and whatever they wanted onto the apartment tops. Barr seemingly did nothing about the neighbors.
Several things were stolen from the apartments by Barr's maintenance personnel and of course Barr does not take responsibility despite their giving out keys to everyone. Do not rent from barr. If you have no other choice, get the city building inspectors involved immediately on problems with the apartment and record all interactions with Barr. Not all apartments are the same, so make sure you view the one you will live in before you sign.
