Barr cleaners will find things to 'clean' that already are clean

I had been happy with my Barr experience, however I have had to change my mind after moving out. I spent two days scrubbing my apartment from head to toe, vacuuming floors twice, scrubbing the tile floors by hand, and cleaning all the surfaces (cabinet fronts, etc.). I recently received the 'things we cleaned' and deposit back from Barr. Their cleaning crew said they had to clean *everything* in the apartment. The only thing they didn't have to clean, supposedly, was the toilet. I am appalled and dismayed at this behavior. I am not a college kid who doesn't know how to clean, I'm a young professional who has lived in several locations and never had this kind of experience on move out.
My suggestion to anyone who wants to rent with Barr, take photos upon moving out to prove the level of cleanliness so they cannot charge you for cleaning things that did not have to be cleaned.

The same thing happened to my son. He was doing his 2 week Navy thing when his lease was up. His father and I moved his stuff out and did a very through cleaning. It was certainly cleaner than when he moved in. They ended up taking most of his security deposit for cleaning. They even charged him for light bulbs that didnt work when he moved in. I agree with you take pics before and after. Im sure this is how they make extra money.
