After living in CU for 4 years on campus, I decided to live off campus for my job and Garden Courts is the best apartment I have lived (2006-2008) in since I've been renting for 8 years. Penny and Stan are GREAT landlords: Caring, always available, and easy to talk to. Any time I had an issue, from replacing a broken light bulb, to the one time I had an ant problem, the maintenance persons who lived on sight came within the same day! There is tons of parking and laundry on site shared between only a few apts. What I like about the place most is it's clean, homey appeal. the grounds have 2 bowling alleys on both sides, but don't let that fool you about the gate community that is beautiful! The entry ways are furnished with decor/mirrors by the mailboxes, and don't get me started on the gardens and fountains. BEAUTIFUL! Like an escape from everyday life. Another sign they care about their apartments is that he 2 years I lived there when it snowed pretty bad, when the storm passed, they were always there removing snow as fast as they could, unlike some places that make you work for yourself. I was a single female and never felt unsafe, and I can say the only "negative" thing was the company behind the building. Sometimes trucks would be there late at night, but I had an apartment at the back and it never bothered me. I really wish I still lived there and could find another apartment similar! (The reason I'm writing now is because I moved to STL and can't find anything even comparable to them!)
