Not Safe At All

This place sucks. Don't live here.

We didn't have any problems with the apt itself but the general area was not safe. The guy in the next building over offered my boyfriend drugs. The people below us yelled and slammed doors all thru the night. And the people next door to them let their 4 and 5 year old run around the complex past 10pm without the parents around. Also people in the parking lot would purposely hit the other cars with their door, not lightly either.

When I lived there for March to August:
1.) my roommates car was broken into and her stereo stolen. Barbara's answer "Don't you have insurance'" She had liability only.
2.) my car (99 Firebird) was keyed to ----. On every panel I have scratch marks. Luckily I have full coverage so the insurance will cover it but Barbara's answer was "It was probably somebody that hates you."
3.) A girl was mugged in the parking lot and when the local news came to do a report on the area Barbara and Greg claimed to know nothing about it. Then when the news people left they started talking about it with the maint guy.

I tried to get them to break the lease saying I would forfeit my security deposit but they said no and told me to sublease. So I advertised in the paper and the office refered people to me too but no one ever came for the times we set up even though they seemed very interested.

About the 1st week of August Greg called me and said that he would take the apt back if I could be out within a week. Both my roommate and I were.

Now they are claiming that we technically subleased and there is a $100 sublease fee, they won't give me back the rest of the rent because we "pay for the entire month not just day to day" and the pet deposit fee even though the cat didn't have fleas because it isn't refundable even though I was told it was.

They also state that the place is perfectly safe and fine. The same day they said that I opened up the news paper and found 2 crime reports for 2000 Cynthia dr: a landscaping rock was thrown through an apt window and another stereo was stolen.

This place is obviously the ghetto and I don't recommend anyone living there.
