I was tenant in one of Green Street's homes in Champaign, more specifice, one of thier houses and not only will I never rent from them again,but the ideal that they
had the nerve to make it "not thier fault" is sad. ---------- is rude, no heart and plain mean. I was told by one of his own employees that quote"he put out peaplo at
christmas time so he does not care".
Let's go over the things that happen to me while I was there. By the way nothing I'am saying is made up nor untrue and if this was not legal to do then they would not allow it on here as "your review". My ceiling fell in, I wake up a animal on my
chest,left marks on my chest, the water heater was behind the wall,so I could not turn some the heat off of the hot water,because my water was scolling hot,cabinet doors in the kitchen were at times hanging,we put them up, then they put them up instead of just fixing them 100%, my front door at first didn't have a porch light until I kept caaling for one,finally I got one,but he(so-call fix it guy they hired)
pulled out wires out of the wall,where the switch for the porch light was,taped up
the rest of the wall let,where my plug sockets were, the front door did not fit the fram,there was only a top lock, the porch overhead when you walked out was about to collasp(would have been a real mess),the screen door had bottle tops to make it close
there were BIG BLACK water bugs that came from up under the baseboards of the inside of the house,the ceiling in the kitchen was water damaged as were other areas, my phone line was really jacked up until I had someone from the phone company come out
to fix it,when they pulled the jack apart they found that something had eaten away
at the wires,windows without screen,finally mice that found his way into the home
from a opening found by the city inspectoer,which I called myself,that is how I found
other problems,in which I couldn't see.OH! my oldest son was in the kitchen one day
fixing hisself something to eat and one of the cabinets fall off and got him in the head.By the way,YES!! I called the police to the house because when you wake up feeling something on your chest, in the dark, you do what you think is right,I was naturally scard cause I didn't know,nor did I hear the ceiling fall,BOY! was it a huge hole.They patched it up with same panels that fell and painted over it,what a repair job. So there is my review of Green Street properties at least one of them. I
know of someone elsa who lived in one thier places and they were not happy either
in fact she also like me moved out, I was forced out because of none payment of rent when these thing were not addressed correctly and they are still not fixing these places right, they are buying up more and more places. When they take advantage of singel parents trying to survive, by putting them in one of thier "it'll
do places" you are not right.GOD does not like UGLY, you want respect you give to all
human being regardless of thier income or walk of life, noone desrves to be HOMELESS.
I could have put my money into real home for me and my two sons instead I believed
in these peaplo, in this home,now I have to start all over again. THANK YOU! GREEN STREET REALITY.
