Yes, it's expensive. I have a 2/1.5 townhouse and it's $870/mo. However, that's for 1200 square feet, washer & dryer in the unit, dishwasher, central air, etc. My husband and I have been living here for a year and will definitely renew if we don't end up buying a house soon.

Pros:
(1) Maintainance Staff - Quick to respond and very friendly. My dryer broke at 9 am one morning, and I had a new one installed by noon. They remove icicles and snow promptly, they even salt the steps to your apartment.
(2) Bus - My husband takes the bus to UI every day, very frequent stops both in front of and behind the complex.
(3) W/D IN UNIT - If this is important to you, not many complexes in CU offer it - unless you go with renting an apartment in a house.
(4) Location - Very safe, near a huge park & grocery store, walking distance to memorial stadium for football games!
(5) Quiet - I find the townhouses to be relatively quiet, and mostly inhabited by professionals/grad students.
(6) Big Dogs Allowed - Again, not many places offer this. There's a nice dog run on the property that's fenced in, too.

Cons:
(1) Cost. If you go for the townhouse, it's very expensive for a single person - but if you have a roommate or a significant other, it's very do-able.
(2) Windows. They definitely let in the cold. We invested in some of the plastic covering stuff and it helped a bit, also they just hired a company to redo all the insulation in the ceiling this winter - so I hope that keeps heating costs down, as it's been high lately!
