I am very happy living at Illini Tower. I absolutely love the food here. I can tell you that I have no problem studying in my dorm room because everyone is courteous in keeping the volume down in the building. I would definitely recommend this building as a home away from home for other new college students (and for those who are not freshman anymore).

that's 1/15 who says the place's quiet!
No, the place is not quiet. Even when you've demanded a quiet roomie on the roomies preference form, IT'd give you a total partying neighbor who parties from 10 PM to 5 AM in his room on a daily basis. When you go to your RA, the RA'd tell you to try to settle it yourself, meaning knocking on the door of half a dozen drunken singers and telling them to quiet down. The most likely response is a "go to the library to study!" (yes, I did receive that response; what can I do? The next time I knock on their door I'd probably end up in the hospital, and the next time I go to my RA I'd end up on the RA's black list!)
But assuming everyone's courteous, the aged-and-falling-apart tower's not. On finals week, the wall creeps day and night, making both studying and sleeping nearly impossible, unless you're deaf. So I wonder, who could've said there's no problem studying in the dorm?
