This is my second stay in a Ramshaw apartment; not because I was happy with it the first time, but because of the way the leases lined up. If I went with anybody else I'd be homeless for a week with nowhere to put my stuff. Both apartments have been absolutely filthy when I moved in; dirt everywhere, even vomit in one of the closets. The apartment is in total disrepair; there are two huge holes in my ceiling, one of which is plugged with a sock and the other with a dishrag. The carpets are stained and disgusting, the doorknobs fall off the doors, the windows are so poor that the heating bill for a 2 bedroom was $350 and we kept it at 61 degrees. The front yard is full of broken glass. There are holes in the walls and mold in the bathroom. Everything about this place is awful. The rent payment is a total scam; they've charged us late fees ($50) 3 of the months I've been here because they "haven't received the check," which is totally bogus; they are either consciously scamming us or just so incompetent that they've lost 3 checks out of 8 months. Our heat wasn't working in the winter, and it took a week to get out to fix it. In our apartment last year, we paid a contractor for cleaning, and then they still took the whole security deposit for "cleaning," which, given the state of the apartment when we moved in, they do not perform. STAY AWAY!!!!!!
