I lived at 605 S Fifth in one of the 1st floor apartments and hated University Group from day 1. When I arrived at the apartment for the first time the door was standing wide open and the apartment had trash everywhere. Repeated calls to management received no response until 2 weeks after I moved in and a cleaning crew knocks on the door on a Saturday morning. I had cleaned everything by then because it was filthy. Everytime it rained and even sometimes when it didn't, water would run down the walls. Calling daily for weeks got either no response or "We're aware of the problem and it should be fixed." The last few weeks of the lease the water was constent, soaking the carpet and causing a mold to grow on everything. Was not even inhabitable at that point. Oh, and my mailbox always got stuck which sucked. Bottom line, don't rent from University Group.
