This landlord needs to learn that he also needs to abide by a lease. I have never seen anybody be so rude and obnoxious to tenants. I always spoke with the manager with problems, he would say it would be fixed immeadatly, months and multiple phone calls and trips to their office later, it would get shottly done. I'm sure he wouln't like it if it took me three months to pay my rent, so why should I have to wait three months to get things gaurennteed in my lease to be there upon move-in. When ever something breaks they accuse you of causing it. The apartment upon move in was a complete mess, but he says it was "proffesionally cleaned". It took me and my family days to clean the place, because he refused to clean it. According to him an apartment doesn't have to be clean upon move in. whatever you do stay away from University group

Failure to pay that interest entitles tenants to an award equal to their FULL DEPOSIT... not just the couple cents of interest. It's the Illinois Security Deposit Interest Act
