AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
There are huge cockroaches, at least one a month, if you don't use roach and ant spray, but even then, they can come from other people's apartments.
Paint is peeling.
Pipes get clogged very easily, especially in the kitchen sink and in the toilet, the two places used most frequently.
Small rooms that don't even fit a bed are attempted to pass off as second or third bedrooms to raise the rent price.
Some doors don't latch properly, which diminishes privacy.
The landlord will show up without notice to show other people my apartment, even when you've said you still need to live here for another 6 months passed the end of your first lease. When I've asked them for verification of the extention of my lease, I have received nothing except a copy of my current lease, with no changes made to accommodate for the sheet I signed for them, saying I want to extend my lease. They have shown up while I've been sleeping, and once, showed up about 5-10 minutes after I finished dressing from the shower. Had I still been in the shower, that would have been horrible, since their main reason for coming over was to check on the shower head, which they said needed to be fixed or replaced, when I noticed no problems with it - although I have voiced problems with other things that still are not being fixed.
I have asked multiple times for leaks to be fixed, clogs to be fixed, and it takes a long time to get anything done.
Electricity and phone are the only utilities I have to pay, since cable/Internet, water, and trash are paid, but the electric bill is huge during the winter because the place isn't insulated and the heaters are old wall units. The a/c in the hot months makes it expensive, as well.
Old radiators that aren't used anymore take up unnecessary room. There is no elevator to the third or second floors, making move-in or transportation of groceries or large and/or heavy objects difficult.
They ask me to pay an extra $20 a month to park just off the Square, and yet, since it's in a lot next to an office supply store, there are many times someone else is parked in my spot, and I've had to call the cops to issue tickets or tow the vehicles away. Other parking spots require me to move my car every two hours, which gets very annoying.
The only upside is that you can watch people leaving the bars late at night, and hear their arguments and witness their fights ... if you're into staying up late while drunk people yell and shout across the echoing Square. Walking along the sidewalks from the parking lot to the apartment building is also fun, with drunk people wandering around as you try to just get home in one piece.
