After reading a highly biased and untruthful assessment of the 1100 North LaSalle building I was appaled and found myself having to write a rebutal w/ what was negatively stated regarding this fine building. As anyone living in ALL highrise residences, we are aware of an infestation w/ bugs,usually brought in from a variety of sources. I am currently living in this building. Each and every unit was extensivly inspected with a Canine Inspection Unit. There were indeed a couple of units which were identified and immediatly treated successfully and END of problem.
Many buildings do not take the extensive measures as does 1100 North LaSalle Management. I was shocked when someone suggested they encoutered such problems with 1100 North LaSalle when indeed it was the FAULT OF THEIR NEW ESTABLISHMENT !!! I also would highly recommend living in a positive,carefully, and lovingly maintained unit.

Why would people waste time writing "untruthful" reviews of apartment buildings. Obviously TONS of people have had problems with 1100 N. LaSalle. Just because you DIDN't doesn't mean no one else did. How do YOU know which buildings fault it was? Are you God? Are you really that omnipotent? I didn't personally have bed bugs when I lived there [thank God].. but the management DID ILLEGALLY change the locks on me without notifying me when I had already paid my rent in advance. That's probably worse than having bed bugs. The management are untrustworthy scoundrels and all the problems people have had with this place make it TOTALLY not worth it to even bother moving in. End of story.

if you're reacting to MY review, in which the handlers of the trained canine declared my unit 'bed bug free,' and i later discovered that i did INDEED have a severe bed bug problem - you are mistaken. i had a discussion with the management at 1100 n lasalle once i discovered my problem and even THEY did not dispute the fact that the bugs came from their building! how could they, when i was getting dozens of bites a night in their building? now, as for your opening line, when you declared another review 'highly biased and untruthful...' - is it not possible that you yourself are indeed biased? is it not possible that your experience at 1100 n lasalle is not the exact same experience that all other tenants have had? could two conflicting reviews of the building not BOTH contain truth? you state that the 'couple of units' that were found to have a bed bug problem were successfully treated, so, end of problem. I assume you are aware of the intensity of bed bug treatments - isolating your belongings for the entirety of treatment; that it most commonly takes at LEAST a few sprayings (which cannot be done more often than every 45 days) and weekly 'check-ups'... but, you're right. i'm sure there is no existing problem.

Heyfamous anus, GET IT STRAIGHT; NOBODY LOCKED YOU OUT!!! This is a security building, and we have the LEGAL RIGHT to refuse entry to your freeloading, homeless, vagabond friends who want to flop here while you are away. Get a life!!!

just so we're crystal clear, this building is infested with bed bugs... the management are liars and foul-mouthed chuckle heads with no real arguement besides, "hey,doesn't everyone?" and disguise themselves as anonymous and /or caring tenants who care enough to post their compassion.... right. if anyone wants to see compassion first hand i can show you the photo's of dead bed bugs in the hallway, bathroom and near stove, not to mention the endless amounts of permanent scars on my once lovely legs. thank you 1100 n lasalle you have ruined my life with no more pity than that of a genital wart. sleep tight at night, because soon you too will experience bites.

I agree with happysoothsayer and the others. These people cannot be trusted. I honestly believe that all these positive posts are just coming from management. I guess Joe tried to scare the owner of the website with lawyers and then she posted the email he sent her. They are lying even there!!

1100 N. La Salle has a dozen of issues, from failing elevators every week, to full building black-outs from 60 yr old electrical equipment that the owner and management will not replace because they do NOT want to put any money into the building. The bed bug string last a long time and was horrific to deal with, not to mention how management claims to be friendly, but only care about themselves. This building is of a decaying era that needs to die out. The owner could careless and management will lie to your face to get you to rent, and management will turn their back on you the second it no longer fits their agenda. Price is the best around, but for the atrocities, issues, and hazards, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT RENTING OR LIVING at the 1100 Lasalle building.
