Read other posts about having to pay outrageous costs when your lease terminates. You will be charged for carpet and all kinds of ridiculous costs! I was required to pay over $1000.00 when I left! Draper and Kramer management will give the same excuse that other posts have said; that the carpet is supposed to last five years and you are being charged for the months remaining on the five year life expectancy. When I moved into my apartment, the carpet was brand new. Yet, management told me in the bill I received that the carpet was installed in 2005. The carpet is replaced each time a tenant moves out and I have been informed of this by an employee of the company. Therefore, they charge each tenant when their lease terminates. Every tenant I knew personally was charged anywhere from $500-over a $1000 when their lease terminated. Some of these tenants had a dog and some did not. The management and doormen in this building are rude and ineffective. And don't expect to have things done by maintenance timely. It is also not pet friendly as you are treated like you have the plague if you own a dog! The building is currently undergoing all kinds of renovations and for the tenants this means noise, dust and inconvenience. This is all being done to convert the building to condominiums. Like the other posts say, the positive posts are most likely being submitted by management!
