I am currently looking for a new place to live and have been using this site to help me choose where to go, but I lived at 1130 for almost 3 years and had to relocated because of work. I went to and worked at Columbia College, so, it was a perfect location for me. Though when I first moved there I got an amazing rent special, with each year the rent did increase. What can you expect' It is Chicago.

Since I have lived there, I have seen many updates. I wish I was there when those were happening, but it was nice to have the restaurant, grocery store, and dry cleaners there. The grocery store had moved out already towards the end of my time, but I'm sure the dry cleaners and restaurant are still there.

The only complaint I had with 1130 was the rent and parking charges. I had alot of problems with the parking company, so, if you're planning to park your car there--beware.

Overall though, I didn't have too many problems with noise, maintenence, door people, or staff. Although, they did try to charge me some stupid fee when I moved out. I got out of it because they had no real proof. But, something to think about when you're moving out is to take pictures.
