I wish these bad reviews were up before we moved in because we would have never moved here!!!

As for the prior review, you are completely ignorant in assuming that people that have issues with the staff do not pay their rent on time. That is complete bs! We have lived here almost all year and have never been late with our rent and have had issues with not getting our complaints addressed within a couple weeks. Never have they fixed anything in 5 minutes as you claim, not even within a day. Maybe you're just special or you actually are part of the staff... We have also complained about our noisy neighbors, yet they are still noisy although they said they would give them an official notice. I have lived in another property from this same management company before and never had these issues.

Also, I do not know how people can live here only a month and say that the reviewers before who have been here much longer are incorrect in their opinions. Give it some time, I am sure you will change your mind. Yes, it is close to shopping and the el, etc., but that s not enough reason to stay here. Every apartment complex (at least the ones I have been in and they are different management companies) does parties/events every so often, so that is not enough to keep us here either.

Problem #1: Obnoxious neighbors
I totally agree with the reviews about rude neighbors. Our neighbors, although we have asked them to keep their noise down when they have guests, are still noisy even after we complained to the management and they said they would officially notify them to stop the noise or they will be evicted. They still have people over all the time (even on weekdays) late (past 2:30 am) and have no respect for the other neighbors, as they are loud.

Just recently they stopped the Keurig coffee service was taken away because people were stealing boxes of coffee/tea/hot chocolate. That gives you an idea of how trustworthy some of the tenants are...

Yes, most people are courteous; however, many get impatient in the elevators and make it very obvious to the people getting onto the elevator. There are only 3 lifts for 21 floors, so people need to get over it. There was one incident when I was with my mother-in-law visiting from Europe and staying in the guest suite. We got onto the elevator from the 4th floor and there was a couple with thier daughter, who seemed to be around 9 years old. When we came in, the mother said "C'mon, how many more ppl are going get on'". There was only 1 other person in the elevator aside from us. Her husband then said "I know. Some people...". Then when we got off the elevator, he called us "witches".
I'm sure he wanted to say 'b!thches'. AWFUL role models they are for their daughter those two are. Everyone has a right to use the elevators, who are they'!'! They do not own the freaking building! I was sooo embarrased, but my mother-in-law doesn't speak/understand english that well, so I think she did not notice.

Problem #2: Dirty / Smelly Hallways
Despite what the last reviewer said about the property being well maintained, I HIGHLY disagree. It does not take much to keep this place clean. It's mostly concrete with some paint on the floors and ceilings, YET, the floors are always dirty. Maybe it is because of all the pets, however, we live on a pet-free floor and it is STILL dirty. They could mop the floors more often. It's just gross. And I have to agree with another reviewers comments about the trash chute. Ours is totally disguisting and there have been times when I could not even reach the chute because ppl put furniture there. Some weekends there have been excessive garbage because of the parties / loud neighbors. Sometimes the smell from the garbage is so bad you can smell it down the hallway almost to the elevators and the chute is nowhere near the elevator.

The garage also used to get really nasty smelling. I have seen people letting their dogs take a piss and/or taking a dump in the middle of the garage several times and sometimes right in front of the door. There are remains still there that I always avoid. Nasty! What is wrong with people' They can't take thier dogs outside or at least on the dog run''' And not even pick up after them in the garage''' They should not even own pets if they're going to be that irresponsible and inconvenience the tenants.

There are other problems like the previous reveiewers said (ie. very cheap appliances with the smoke alarm always going off when baking if you do not turn the fan on). However, those are common in apartments. By far the worst 2 are the noise/rude neighbors and the maintenance or lack thereof.

Our lease is expiring soon and needless to say, we will NOT be renewing here. There are nicer apartment buildings in the area and with more space for the same or less amount of rent.

Maybe you should buy a house...

To the comment above, not that it's any of your business, but some people rent because they do not want to be tied down to a house for a long period of time for whatever reason. Also, there is no excuse for not being courteous to your neighbors. And as far as the noise level goes, it is stated in the lease/contract that everyone is required to keep the noise level down, not that everyone complys with that...
