I lived here for two years and had no problems with noise within the building. If there were students living there, I was not aware of it or heard them. Every once and awhile noise from the hallway..but that's completely normal for any apartment complex.
If you are sensitive to noise, getting a east facing apartment is your best bet. That way you are not right in front of Clark St. which can be rather loud on the weekends. This lessens the higher you go.
