Lakelane Apartments

lousy - these apartments are too small. The elevators are from the old times. You have the push the black little gate and hold the door at the same time in order to get into the elevator. The lobby smells most of the time they never mop the floor. A lot of the male residents try to flirt with young female as they encounter them in the lobby. Late at night, there are times that you hear loud ...Full review of Lakelane Apartments

This place is in terribel shape and so is the management! - When we moved into our new apartment the place was a mess! We´ve watched people move in and out and they never fix up a place before someone comes in. Management is a joke! We´ve been asking for a leaky faucet to be fixed for over a year and nothing. We are moving out at the end of our lease ad good riddens! ...Full review of 1914-1918 West Lunt Avenue

712 W Diversey. Lots Of Low Income Drunks and Crackheads - I lived there from 2000 to 2001 and this apartment is filled with Section 8 people and building with the Heartland subsidized rent program. It's like 'da hood' in Lincoln Park. The apartments are really nice (except for little to almost NO HEAT IN THE WINTER) It's mostly the people at 712 Diversey that were shady/rude/ghetto/stupid and their visitors were the same. Management ...Full review of 712 W Diversey

Cheap for area, but kind of musty and not kept real clean in common areas - I lived in the building for 3 years and it is a great price for the area, but you do get what you pay for. The in building manager is nice, but the maintanence guy fixes things only when he feels like it. Also, when you walk into the building you are hit with a musty smell. I have a feeling there is mold growing on the ground floor. Also the carpeting on the floors of the hallways is ...Full review of 2827 Cambridge

OK for younger people who are looking for a cheap & small Wrigleyville apt. - The positives:

I liked the layout of my apartment. Rooms were arranged in a circular format (bedroom, walk-through closet/hall, 1 bath, livingroom and tiny kitchen). Although small, about 500 sq. ft., I found it to be adequate.

They allowed tenants to have two cats.

The rent was cheaper than other comparable apartments in the neighborhood.

There´s a bike ...Full review of 612 W Patterson

Krenger Building

HEAT NOT AT CITY ORDINANCE - This is a Krenger property... - Heat is included in the rent and is controlled at a building level, meaning that individual residents cannot turn up their heat. Recent readings taken with a digital thermometer by one tenant indicated the heat was in the 59-63 degree range throughout most of the day. The city ordinance says it must be kept at 68 degrees. Krenger does not respond to calls, despite reassurances from ...Full review of Krenger Building

The mangement there sucks! - The management there is very unfair, my daughter has been on there waiting lis. And she works, is responsible and would make a good tenant. When ever she calls there office to check on her status on there waiting list they are rude. I have heard from people who live there that they show favoitism to current tenants and move there family members right in, no waiting list. They ...Full review of Lawless Gardens Phase II

Stop Runnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!! - Stop and run. Not as good as management portrays it to be. Apartments are too damn small for the money and heating bills can be enormous because of poor insulation in windows. Can't enjoy yourself in this building because management does not want you to use the backyard for anything but a path to empty garbage. ...Full review of Corner Stone Apartments

Not too good. - Looks like a quiet apartment, but actually very noisy. You can hear your neighbors even when they talk very softly. Don't be surprise if you hear tenants fighting or banging on someone's door due to loud radio or tv. It's because no sound insulation in the bulding so can hear your neighbor when they talk or play their music and tv. The floorings makes a lot of screeching ...Full review of Cha-Toine Apartments
