This place cracks me up. 80's decor in the lobby and elevator cooridors. Washers and dryers that are constantly broken down in the laundry room (not every unit has a set). Paper thin walls where you can hear your neighbor in the shower (so, I am sure they hear you). A dinky workout room. An overpriced drycleaners who has lost my clothing enough times that I don't use her any longer, despite the convenience factor (oh, and she "lost" one of my UPS deliveries. Her excuse was, "it was in the corner - I didn't see it."). The outside deck area is in desperate need of a paint job so it's rather embarrasing to bring guests down there. I have heard of some of my neighbors having major bug issues. The elevators are always down and people get stuck - I think the ambulance has a permanent parking space allocated in front of the building.

The property management has changed a number of times and the current gal in there, I believe she is an assistant mgr vs. mgr, is horrendous. I'm pretty sure that any nice comments on this board is a result of someone in the office posting because everyone I talk to is disgusted by the place in lieu of all the nice apartments/condos going up in the area with great deals.

I'm trying to figure out why anyone renews their lease, as I will not be, unless the thought of moving again is worse than this place' Hmmmmm, I think not! All utilities are ala carte vs. other places in the area having free wireless throughout and cable, etc.

All I can say is spare yourself the misery....don't even attempt this place, it isn't worth it!

I apologize for any bad interactions you have had with the staff and would like the chance to improve. Regarding the sundeck, we are at the end stages of getting approvals to renovate the sundeck by adding green space and lounge furniture. This is projected to be complete spring 2010. A/C and Heat are both included in your rent, but the resident pays for electic, cable and internet. I have not been made aware of the other complaints your have mentioned and would like the chance to make your living experience better. Any other resident that reads this review please remember myself as well as the rest of the staff at 420 E Ohio and Village Green are here to provide you with the best customer service possible.
