I've lived in apartment buildings in Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York, and Dallas... this is perhaps the most poorly managed facility I've ever encountered.

Staff is friendly, but mostly powerless. Management (one manager in particular) was rude, unpleasant, and disagreeable on multiple occasions. It's likely that tenants who did not interact with this manager could have a positive experience. I had an awful summer in Chicago due in large part to her. I'm advising all of my friends to steer clear.

It's up to you whether you want to roll the dice and hope you only have problems on her days off.

I'm so tired of this generic response. How about this for a try....BE GOOD UPFRONT TO TENANTS! Then, you wouldn't have to send these follow-ups. I couldn't agree with the original poster more! The staff here (doormen, maint people, etc.) are wonderful but the gal who lives in the building, ------, who is now property mgr is, to put it mildly....THE WORST PROPERTY MANAGER I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. She needs to be working in a slum apartment complex where you have to scream and yell at people to get their rent. She does NOT belong in a nice, more upscale, community. She brings it down quite a few notches. I have made it a point to go in on Sunday mornings to the office if I have questions or need anything. The leasing agent who works then is very nice. Village Green needs to wake up and do some serious house cleaning - starting FIRST with ------, the property manager.
