I loved my time at 425 W Surf. Was in a studio apartment on the 8th floor, and could see Wrigley Field from my window. The building has a lot of character and is in a fantastic location. However, I don't know if it was just my apartment, but in the winter when the radiators would get turned on, it would get a GHASTLY kind of hot in my apartment, and the management said there was nothing they could do about it. Therefore, all winter long I had a fan up to an open window trying to cool it down in there - it worked somewhat. Also, don't plan on having a car while living there. The waiting list is HUGE for the postage stamp sized lot. Other than that, if I found myself back in Chicago again, I'd move back into 425 W Surf.
