I lived here for almost a year and I didn't plan on renewing my lease within 5 months of living there. I will be moving out at the end of the month and I am so looking forward to it. The apartment is managed by Realty and Mortgage company and they are soo rude. I will never rent with them again and no longer will I live in 444 Saint James again.
1. Mold: I've had problems with mold constantly and it took the maintenance forever to do anything. When I decided NOT to renew my lease, there they were ready to fix the problem for the next perspective tenant. Great job guys!!!
2. Plumbing: Every other week there was a notice that the water will be off for several hours while they work on the plumbing.
3. Keys: If you mistakenly leave your key in the laundry room be aware of the $25 (pocketing) fee. I dropped my key down the freight elevator shaft and I had a choice to pay a $250 fee and wait for 2 days or $25 and get it immediately. It was a simple procedure but boy did it cost.
The building manager Mike Ene is a real jerk. Whenever I have a complaint about anything in the apt he will immediately ask "What did you do'" and turn his nose up. You get definitely get what you pay for. Good luck!!
