Short-term rentals of up to 6 months are permitted, subject to approval of the Co-op Board. Fantastic pre-war units are inexpensive to purchase, but full-service 24-hour doormen and excellent maintenance and management staff combine to generate a hefty monthly assessment. Lease with option to buy could be a good way for someone moving to the city to get settled right away while finalizing the purchase. The CTA bus runs down Lake Shore Drive to the Chicago Loop business district for a scenic ride to and from work.
