Pricey, but not horrible

I lived there for a little more than 1 year. I had a corner unit, and noise was not a problem once my music loving neighbor left. The apt is VERY old (cracked paint, walls, furry radiators) but architecturally interesting and little surprises like built in drawers, book shelves, etc. Huge kitchen. No dishwasher or disposal got old after a while. Trash was always a pain. Mail was stolen occasionally. Security not so great. Interior of bldg kinda ugly, but sorta charming in a vintage way. People there all seem very nice. Elevators are VERY small - forget moving big stuff - like a king box spring. The management was a pain. The guy didn't live on site and was slow - they never really wanted to fix anything properly. The management were often VERY rude. Very money driven. Bottom line, cute, quiant, not worth more than $800/mo but with the area prices, they think it is and act accordingly. I really hated the entire management office as they were very rude, but the maintenance guy was nice and the apt was pretty easy living.
