This is a condo building but some units are rented out by the owners. Lived here for the past 3 years, but I am moving to be closer to work. The building itself is a good place to live, people are a mixed aged group. Neighborhood is very clean and generally safe. Building maintenance/garage staff are very good, but the onsite manager has changed 3 times since I have been here...and they screw up paperwork a lot. South facing high floor units have excellent city views. Pool is nice, well maintained, but has membership due to hired lifeguards. Bike room nice but you have to pay an annual fee. Laundry room has all new washers/dryers (2005) and is reasonably priced. In building rented garage is reasonably priced for the area but has un-assigned double-deep spots which requires an 24hr garage attendent...sometimes you have to wait a few minutes to get your car. Worst thing in the building is the elevators which are in terrible shape but are getting replace sometime in late 06 or 07. I would love to stay here if my apartment was slightly bigger and closer to my work.

wonderful building. have lived here for 10 years. elevators are brand new, interior redecorated. prices still low for such a high end building in lakeview within walking distance to lake michigan, and speedy bus service to michigan ave. pool is wonderful, balconies, heated garage, what more could you ask for? good buy. good place to live.
