My rent for a studio went from $630 to $725 over a period of three years. When I was given a renewal lease for $800 for 07-08, I left. There are plenty of comparable studios in "desirable" Lakeview for less than $800/month. Oh, and I hope you like people. The --- Pride parade, Chicago Marathon and various other summertime/fall events go right down Broadway, which part of the building faces. And Wrigley Field is six blocks away, so there's a lot of pedestrian and auto traffic when the Cubs are home. But there's a great upscale supermarket across the street and a hardware store and drug store about a block away.
