Do not trust leasing agents. Some people get discounts, others do not. Electric bills are outrageous. Studio and convertable units can expect to pay 50-60/month even with conservative usage. Add another 50 to 80 for cable and internet. Oh and add the gas fees, water fees, & trash fees. Concessions do not cover these costs. Try and get a place without these hidden costs.

Actually, these are hidden or added costs. I moved in when the building first opened (the very first day in fact) and I was told, by every leasing agent I talked to, all utilities except electric were *included.* Then, come January, management decided to start charging us for them. Further, Craigslist has tons of cheaper studios in the same area just as nice. So, I believe it is *very* overpriced and I also believe management will tell you whatever you want to hear to save face. Tons of people have already moved out (one guy I know even got a lawyer to break his lease) and I'm not even sure about renewing *my* lease. Unless I can work out a deal, there are cheaper places out there.

I was one of the first residents in the building myself and it was clear that I was going to be billed for water. Maybe your leasing agent wasn't clear, but I was told that we would be billed for water usage once the billing was set up. I believe the first couple of months we were not charged. I agree that you will probably find other places that are cheaper and larger, but the management here is top notch and will fix any problems you have. The building is built to insulate sound and the amenities are cool.

I also have lived in the building since it opened and I knew I had to pay for water eventually and was happy that amli covered it for so many months. I have since renewed and no longer have to pay water. Thanks again amli!
