I have lived at this building for 2 years. It started off great. Two person cleaning staff, 2 maintenance staff members, one great Manager that worked some days for 15 hours.
Then the owner, fired the cleaning staff, then fired one maintenance person and as of last Friday, fired the Manager. He had been sending her on business trips for him, as far away as St. Louis. She was gone for a week, we did not have an on site Manager.
We have a firebug in the building, every week-end the garbage room is set on fire for the last month. The police and fire inspectors have been here, but they can't arrest the person unless they have more evidence.

It is very scary to live here, no one is able to sleep and are afraid that the fire starter 'person' might now set the building on fire and deaths may occur.

The gym has broken equipment and that has been since an August flood. The elevators always break down, even today, the freight elevator broke down.
The current maintenance man is great, he has not had a full night's sleep in days and continues to work 7 days a week!

I liked the former Manager, she was fun and got things done. The owner had her doing so many things that and ADMIN or an assistant manager could have done, so if some things were not done, it was not her fault.

100% agree. SCOTT the maintenance team. IS AWESOME. If the owner is smart (Which I doubt) He would do whatever he could to keep him around the building.

So many people have moved out with more planning too. The owner changed the name of the ownership from Bentley Real Estate and Mgt. Co to SS Management Company. The old phone number is disconnected and the new address is a PO Box. The owner has so many city penalities and citations against him and the building, that this is the 4th time the name has been changed so no one can find him. Those that know of the dealings of Val and his wife, Kathy; the building is registered under her name, please write and report him/them. There had been no full time manager on site for weeks and the maintenance man has not been seen for days. Help us!
