First off before I go into lonmg winded review, my recomendation for the place is simply to just stay away, its not worth the time or money.
Lets start with there ammenities, the business center sounds great until you actually use it. The hours are supposed to be 9 to 6, but they rarely ever keep those hours. The computers are out of date and run extremely slow, error messages pop up, and they use old versions of internet explorer, and you get to hear every word that comes out of the property managers mouth, because she speaks very loudly. The fitness center, they do have some equipment albeit out of date, it is very crampt down there in the basement. Awh and finally the laundry room, crampt at best, washer and dryers again out of date, and of the six each they have there is usually one or two out of service at any given time. The machines are rough on your clothes.
Parking is non exsistent as they have no garage and no lot, there is city parking on the street but is time restricted so you contantly have to move your car if you consider it.
The grounds are unmaintained, I have never seen any professional landscape crew maintain there plant beds, there are weeds throughout and its really an eyesoar to look at, really brings down the area. Look next door and you see a remarkable difference.
There is no professional security personel here at all. They have a coded entrance but everyone gets the same code, which is stupid because if they have to kick someone out they have to change the code again.
Keep your windows closed at all times, otherwise you will hear the traffic and sirens, yes this is the city so thats expected, but there is constant noise from the bar next store if you live on that side of the building, slaming of beer bottles in the trash cans, and other items until 2 or 3 in the morning and you can here it quite well through the shut windows. Its very noisy here.
The contruction is sub par, the building and apartments are supposed to be 100%, take one look down the hallways and youll see disgustingly dirty carpets, highly doubt those have been remodeled, so they out and out lied there. The new or so called new items are installed by unlicensed or un educated workers, and it shows, 18" clearence to enter your bathroom, your kitchen drain vent is located on the counter and not the sink so if and when it overflows with water spills out onto the counter and not down the drain. Toliet does not flush correctly or effeciently. Tub drain never drained properly even after the 6 or so times they snaked it. The so called mahagony wood is not real just stained that color, there is no marble tile in the apartment to speak of, the fireplace is merely a tiled hole in the wall, 4 windows to whole apartment so its quite dark, the large one bedroom is tiny, no closet space. No cabinet space, a normal size plate doe not fit in the cabinet, the stove is tiny and outdated. Fridge is outdated. The hardwood floors are not new. Refinished yes but not new. Im a carpenter by trade and this place has so many code violations its not even funny.
Maintenance is a joke, they wont set up appointments for your work if you request it, they just come whenever and your supposed to be there. They are uneducated and dont speak english that well.
Finally the staff, BIG UNPROFESSIONAL, not knowledgable, and not helpfull. The proporty manager, spends way too much time here. If you value your privacy do not move here. She is here usually 12 to 16 hours a day, staying till midnight on a weekly basis. Shes not being productive while she is here either, she just sits in that office of hers and watches t.v., gossips, and stares at every move you make when you enter or leave the building. Im sure she'll say Im here for security give me a break, spend some money and get a guard like every other place. She has no business being here like that, honestly it creeps me out. Talk about big brother.
Finally, I made a huge mistake moving here and signing a lease, I was strapped for time and really needed a place to stay thats the only reason why I moved here. As soon as my lease is up I am out of here. They nickel and dime you for everything, constanstly change the terms of your lease, and get very defensive should you call them out on anything. STAY AWAY.
Lastly I will say this, If they totally gutted this place and brought in new management and increased the size of the apartments and actually spent some good money on this place, then and only then would it be worth it.

I agree on many points. HOWEVER, how ignorant are you to call the maintenance "uneducated" because they "don't speak english." First of all, at least one of them is going to college currently and this just pays the bills. Secondly, I have had (many) things go wrong in my apartment and every time, they have been able to "speak English" (and very well at that) as well as correctly fixing whatever went wrong that week.
Perhaps you should live in the suburbs. Belmont is a busy street in the third largest city in the United States. Difficult parking, noise, and little light is too be expected when you are in between other buildings.
I will agree on everything you said about the building manager. She is worthless to the building and drives away current and prospective renters. You have to constantly check to see if you have a package because heaven forbid she have to stop watching Lifetime for 5 seconds and put a sticker on the mailbox. I have had perishable items (sent as gifts so I didn't know to watch for them) spoil due to her neglecting to tell me I received something.
The workout area was decent but now has several machines that do not work and have yet to be replaced. Overall- excellent location in a subpar environment at best.

...you must have swallowed instead of spitting out!
If you are so upset about the living conditions and operation of the building, why are you still living there? You can move out, legally of course or take some action for the problems that you are having.

I would have to agree with the first response to this review. Some of the negatives are to be expected due to living in a busy area. Also, the maintenance men are nice and speak English, but yes, it is hard to schedule an actual appointment with them.

I would also question the intelligence of the original complainer here. Yes, you find things not to your liking, but, you know, evidently you're not intelligent enough to use spell checker before you post, or else that's the way you spell at your job. You seem quite retarded in your ability to express yourself intelligently.... (a prospctive tenant who would not like to be your neighbor....)

The person that posted this review cant possibly live here. First of all, they just purchased (like 6 months ago) all NEW laundry equipment. Thats right you retard, all new. What building do you live in ? The fitness room has newer equipment as well and its free, what do you expect for free, a 10,000 s.f gyn with a pool, yeah right, get a life. Denise the building manager is one dumb animal, I agree, but she stays here to watch the building and to make sure your sorry ass doesnt get raped or apartment broken in to. No crime in this building since I've lived here for the past 4 years. All the maintenance staff is American born, so what are you talking about, are you on drugs or in the wrong building again. And as far as noice in the streets, hello retard, you live in the city, move to North Dakota for your peace and tranquility if you dont like the city. Your post is like you didnt view and inspect the apartment before you moved in. What happened, too many drugs and the bathroom and kitchen got small on you since you inspected it. Ohhh yeah, the management came in and took your windows out. Get a life retards and move out if youre not happy. I had to wait 3 months to move in to this building cause they are always full. Find a better place and move there if you are so unhappy. Youre so full of ----, it aint funny.

This is a great building and the first review is not accurate at all. The staff has been great and I love my apartment and everyone I had ever met living here loves this building except YOU. What building do you live in, is right ? The fitness center is great, it's free, remember. You want a Golds Gym, you can go and pay then and drive to it. And what's wrong with the new laundry equipment ? I agree about about Denise and her grooming. Showering once in a while would help, LOL.
