Unless you want to waste your money and deal with awful management then don't live in the Belmont House! This apartment building has the WORST management staff i have ever seen.
They are extremely obnoxious, they lie, and they have bizarre rules - I was given an eviction notice for not paying my rent by the 6th of the month, even though i had never paid late before.
And despite the efforts of the really nice maintenance guys, the building is falling apart because management is too cheap to pay for anything, even though rent is really expensive for Chicago.
The elevators are death traps and the plumbing really sucks.
They also try to charge you for every little thing, like $25 if you lose your keys.
Live somewhere else!

I've been working at the Belmont for awhile now,and the manager does her job only as needed.Most of the time she gives her -------- smile and rubs people the wrong way-constantly!If only she stepped up to the plate and made sure everyone does thier jobs, instead of relying on the super to give her the same -------- excuses that his workers can't do certain things to help keep the building looking and working as prestigious as they claim to be.Nightmen-always sleeping,Painter-always drunk,along with the asst. sup. of maint.Problems in buildings always stem from the manager, the filth, and neglect of this beautiful building is a direct result of the lethargic manager.She's never done right by me, and the super is a prick beyond words and lies often to cover his own ---.I've got two words for dolly and rene- instant karma.(believe it)

I agree with you about your comments about the manager. Unfortunately my lease was just renewed at the beginning of this month, and I'm already regretting it. I hate her -------- smile, too - that's the worst thing about her - and the way she talks to me, like I can't speak English or I'm deaf. good luck, wherever you are. i hope i treated you okay. if not, i apologize - this place has been causing me quite a bit of stress lately. |
