I have lived in the belmont house for over five years and have no idea where people come up with some of this stuff. I've had no problems while I have lived here. The office staff is friendy and not stupid. I read these reviews from time to time and it seems the people bitching are the people trying to create their own rules. All I can say is thank god the office staff is smart enough not to let people take advantage. I've had things break in my apartment and I've always had it fixed within a couple days. As for noise coming through the walls, I've lived in two different apartments in this building and it's been minimal.When your sharing a building with 500 people your going to hear some noises. The doormen are fine. They don't do a lot but the fact that someone is there is a nice feeling. The Laundry room is so bright! I have no idea what this girl is talking about, there is even a camera in there that the doorman watches at his desk! Pets are expensive wherever you go, and I can't tell you how many times I've gotten in the elevator and stepped in pee or worse. That does not clean it self up for free. The building even provides poop bags! Read your lease before you get a pet because if you can't afford one you should not have one. If you can't stand the belmont house walk across the street to the belmont harbor apartments, or any of the the other rentals in the area and you'll see there is not much room for complaining.

The noise doesn't bother me, though it is pretty bad, I can here the people above me peeing. I've never stepped in pee on the dog elevator and use it about 5 times each day?? Well, that is, if it's working, which it's usually not. I actually like when it's not working, because you have to wait 10 minutes for it. I'd rather use the others anyday, except for when your on them and they come to a complete stop and your just sitting there, waiting. Regarding the poop bags, that is very nice, but they are always empty. They didn't have any all of last week. What cracks me up is how snooty the office staff is. Dude, you work in an apartment building (a cheap one at that), chill with the attitudes!
