The building is in major disrepair. The office will not see anyone (probably don't want to deal with residents). It is VERY cold during the winter due to in floor heating that doesn't work in my apartment, but VERY hot in others (have to keep windows open on 10 degree days). You take you chances. 50 per cent of the washers and dryers don't work on a regular basis. Snow removal doesn't happen most of the time (residents had to sign a pettition). Closet doors are warped and don't work. It's embarrasing to live here (had a last minute move to chicago).

I live there, too -- it has gone way downhill the last few years. The maintenance guys are OK, but the management company is crap. The snow removal issue cited in the other post was a disaster (not having a car, it didn't impact me, but I certainly helped get my share of stuck people out of the ice). Having said that, it is pretty cheap -- especially when you consider that heat is included in the rent.

Yeah, this place is such a dump. I am a former resident (1 year) and had to get out. The gang activity, the peeing in the elevators, the smoking in the hallways, the loud tennants, and the total disrepair of the building makes you want to get out quickly!
