The building managment has filed for bankruptcy and they are making the residents pay for it. They charged us $50 per key card to enter the building, they switched phone companies and make us pay for all phone service UP FRONT - IN ADVANCE, so you have to pay for all your phone services for your whole lease term, there is no expressed penalty in the lease to end it early, and they made up a rule from thin air to charge you a 3 month penalty plus give them 60 days notice.
This place is NOISY, they claimed there was sound insulation, but you can hear EVERYTHING outside, especially the el.
EVERYTHING CLOSES AFTER 3PM AND ON THE WEEKENDS. Good luck finding a place to eat for dinner. There is nothing to do here - except for those who fancy an overpriced club or adult books.
ADULT BOOKSTORE AND CLUB WET A FEW FEET AWAY. Be prepared to be hassled by homeless people asking for your groceries, people urinating in the alleys, people smoking pot in the stairway for the building's parking, drunk and noisy people walking the streets from thursday to sunday night.
I have a dog which is part of the reason why I moved here, but many fellow dog-owners are extremely inconsiderate when it comes to picking up after their dogs, you will see dog feces everywhere outside the building.
The parking for this building is used for theater parking during the season, be prepared to deal with a nightmare of a parking situation if you have a car.
A FEW GOOD POINTS - the doormen are extremely friendly as well as the maintenance staff and the engineering staff.
