generally would not recommend From: renter0712 Date posted: 7/22/2005 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2005   Positive: 1) Generally cheap in the downtown area, includes free high speed, etc. 2) Close to el (convenient) and within walking distance of State street etc. 3) The apartments were just renovated about 2 years ago so the appliances/furnishings should be quite new Negatives: 1) Very dark 2) Noisy from the el 3) The most incompetent management I've ever seen - do not expect anyone to ever call you back or email you back with any questions/help. Also, do not even expect anyone to pick up your phone when you call. 4) Some lazy doormen who gab on the phone all day long - some are great 5) A lot of broken promises on what I would have when I first moved in (dryers that didn't work, elevator that didn't operate on the floor I lived on, no bike room till a year later, etc.) -- mostly resolved now 6) The "work out room" finally has a water cooler; but its alway empty 7) A lot of noisy and generally bad neighbours (e.g., people who leave dirty clothes in the washer and not use the machine)
