Stay Away!!!

This is possibly one of the worst choices I could have made for an apartment. Sure, the price seems right at first, you get cable, internet, and phone included. However, it probably would have been easier to just pay for this stuff and deal with it myself-- for most of the year, my phone was not working. And for about a month while it "was," the numbers were switched-- my next door neighbor had my number, and I had her's. The management refused to get this taken care of in a timely fashion. When spring rolled around, and we had days of 80 degree whether, the management did not turn on the air conditioning, and would not after I basically begged them. It was unbearably hot in my apartment. They told me to open the window- but there's a problem with that, too- the el is so loud that you can't even hear a darn thing. So, their solution to this was to give me a fan, tell me to crack my door open, and have the fan suck in the cool, a/c air from the hall. I did this after I could no longer stand sweltering, and I was pretty creeped out by it. Sure enough, someone's cat comes wandering in, and the owner of the cat just comes waltzing in to the apt after the cat.
Then, I was trying to move out, and they said that my lease ended at the end of August, not the end of July, as I had requested. They basically told me that I would have to pay the rent of August if they couldn't find a tenant to move in to that unit, even though I signed from August 7- July 31. Luckily for me, they found a tenant.
So take my warning-- it sounds like a good deal, but if you cant handle incompetence, excessive noise, and heat, then don't move in.
