I have lived in this building for close to 5 years now and somehow I've stuck it out. For the location you can't beat the price, yet at times I can't believe I'm still here. The local nickname for the maintenance guy is "Useless." Esample: After asking for 6 months to have my place painted I finally did it myself. Same story with carpet cleaning. Even to ask for a plumbers wrench to fix my leaking sink on my own has been an ongoing process for countless weeks. My neighbor has been asking to have his toilette fixed for 7 months. The windows are ancient and drafty and the heat rarely comes on in the winter. So if you don't mind sleeping in sweats, inslde a sleeping bag, under a comforter then it's the place for you! They recently put new windows in the units in the front of the building to make it look upkept, but don't be fooled. They only do repairs when water pipes bust, or the elevator goes out.

Oh, I can't forget to mention how the back door doesn't close all the time, and people have been in my building "soliciting"; probably off to see what people have in their apartments so they can rob them a week later.

don't forget to mention the water bugs and millipedes that show up once a week, even though they claim to spray the building (which I've never once seen)

waterbugs? try inch to inch and a half long roach's that come every time after it rains. If you live on the ground level forget about it. This place is a F$%king roach motel! In the past 4 weeks I've only had two days where I didn't find any roach's in my apartment. You see them dead in the hallways too! They're despicable. They left carpet to rot in-between the buildings and rats lived in them all winter. they dump the leftover water when they shampoo the carpet behind the building in a big puddle to fester. This building should be condemned! a really pissed off tenant
