I lived in Cobbler Square in 1999 and 2000. The beauty of the grounds lured me in but it was doomed from the start. I got a corner studio on the 5th floor with problems. Noise, noise, noise. These old "dr. shoals foot factory" walls dont hold water. Actually, they do. Let me explain. I came home from work one day and half of my roof had fallen in. Routinely, the brick breaks off in chunks and falls within the apartment. This day however, roofers were replacing the rot and guess who got hit' It wasnt pretty. Months of clean up, rainwater seeping in, constant plastic all over the place. Cobbler Square was never home for me and I felt bad for the absolutely wonderful maintenance staff who came calling several times in the middle of the night.
Its a great location but look, and listen (carefully), before you leep.
