I will have to agree strongly about the issue of being able to hear the neighbors. But that could be a good thing if you like to 'make a lil' noise' yourself and turn your neighbors on! Fortunately, my neighbors are not obnoxious with their music or partying. If someone has to pay to get the doorman to let them in when they lock themselves out, they might want to consider being friendlier to the staff. I haven't had any problems with losing money in the laundry machines- there might be a machine 'down' at times but the benefit of having a money card outweighs this unavoidable inconvenience. The grounds are kept very clean and maintained- it would be nice to see the fountain working but it really wouldn't make a difference as I'm never in the court yard anyway- and never see anyone 'hanging out' there for that matter. The elevator I use was out once but was fixed immediately. The comfort and control of having central heat & air and utilization of new appliances was no contest in comparing with the 'systems' in the other apartments. The garbage, water and sewage utilities are complex provided for a very reasonable rate. I'm not sure how the hot water is metered but it is plentiful and plenty of pressure.
One grip would be that hi-speed internet is not available and satellite dishes are not allowed to be attached to windows.
I would recommend to a friend only with the serious warning about the noise level.
