Small spaces, high prices, suspicious management

RENTERS BEWARE.
Recently, the management of this apartment complex brought *mortgage specialists* into the building. Many of the buildings on this street have turned into or been built as condominiums, and, given the recent tours of apartments and the grounds by mortgage specialists, I would not be surprised if the building turned condo.
The grounds themselves are quite nice, and the neighborhood has become quite attractive, since I first moved in four years ago.
However, the lofts are small, and the rents are high. Due to the age of the complex itself, bits of mortar and parts of the brick regularly fall from the walls and ceilings. Noise is a serious issue, as you can hear neighbors above, below, and next to you. Do not be fooled by the extras.
I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. There are several other, better-priced, amenities-filled, and more genuinely sincere apartment complexes in the Old Town and Gold Coast areas. After the last straw occurred (the appearance of roaches), I decided to move to another apartment in the Gold Coast.
Management personnel has changed *three times* in the four years that I have been a resident here, and, each time, management has increasingly taken on the attitude of "While this is your home, you must remember that this is a business." This is an abysmal attitude for the place that you choose to call Home.
