I was surprised to read the review which chastised the current building manager, Elena. I have lived in this building for close to ten years, and have seen many managers come and go, and I have to say that Elena has by far been the best person on staff. She is always very pleasant and willing to help you in any way that she can. As an example, my refrigerator started acting wonky, and Elena had it swapped out the same day. The temporary replacement refrigerator had problems too, and was also swapped out, but in the end, Elena had arranged for a brand-new refrigerator for my apartment. I was not expecting that, since we thought the old one might be repaired, but was very glad. Elena goes out of her way to make sure the tenants are safe and comfortable in their homes. I find it hard to believe that she exhibited the behavior described in the review of September 29, 2009, and consider myself lucky to have her as the building manager.
