My husband and I have lived in this apartment for a year and blindly signed our lease renewal for the forthcoming year. We chose the building the apartments are kind of cute, we liked the hardwoords, and the rent was within our range and the location close to the hospital (where my husband works). I should have known -- I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN! -- from the beginning how bad the management company is, but you always kid yourself that it won't be that bad. Well, they are. The first two months they told us we hadn't paid our rent, which we had -- and showed them the canceled checks. The second time they simply served an eviction notice. Our internet was supposed to be turned on when we moved in, but it took an entire month to get it working. Their "contactor" insisted it was our computer, when in fact the wires in the walls weren't working at all. None of the staff speaks English well enough to communicate with the residents, and the maintenance man is beyond tempermental. He's downright hostile and rude. I won't even begin with the utilities. Just today we were told that we owed the last two months of electricity or it would be shut off -- only we never received a bill from anyone. Trust me -- even if you've never had to interact with the managment at your apartment before, you will now, and it's not worth the headache.

Deja vu! I live here and have also been served eviction notices which stated that I did not pay my rent. The management on site refused to help me correct their mistakes. I had to leave voice mail messages, which were never returned, for the woman who processes payments in Park ridge. Despite my on-time (and fully paid) payments, they could not keep track of their records. This has happened twice.
The building is dirty, and the hallways are rarely cleaned. Plumbing is poor (many bathroom tub and toilet clogs) and they've had to shut off water for the building for 8 hours or more on several occasions.

has the management gotten any better? I went by a couple of weeks ago to talk with Edita and she seemed very nice. Out of curiosity, why did you re-sign your lease if the experience was so bad?
