They won't even let you SEE an apartment! From: lin404 Date posted: 7/7/2005 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005   This was the most amazing thing I've ever run across in apartment hunting. I called to set up an appointment to see an apartment, they took my info and set a time fo me to come in the next day. When I got there they had me complete a preliminary info form asking for my name, address, etc. They also asked what are the most important things I'm looking for, and I mentioned location. After that, they asked how much I wanted to pay and of course I gave an estimate on the lower end of the range ($1100 - not too low in reality). Why would one give a high estimate' All these companies always raise their prices from what's in their ads anyway. You tell them a price and they say "well, we have ..." and add about $200 to what you initially said. And when you see the apartment you decide if it's worth it or not. But this place was different, they said they have nothing in that range (really') and went to get a whole bunch of brochures for their other properties and told me I could go to those and find an apartment. None of those properties were downtown. They are obviously trying to get people to go to their other more out of the way properties. I couldn't believe that they would not show me an apartment. I thought it was illegal in the City of Chicago to not show an apartment when you advertise that you are renting them and then you make someone an appointment for them to come in and see the apartment. Anyway, I would never bother calling this place again. It's just a waste of time to go there to see an apartment as they probably won't show it to you anyway.
