Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2008
Rent is cheap. Heat and water included. The apartment building is a historic 100-year old hotel that was converted into apartments. Because of those thick plaster walls, you'll rarely if ever hear your neighbors. It's pretty, but it's not been well maintained over the years. Old management was especially atrocious but new management by MAC properties seems to be an improvement.
A few complaints- elevators slow and break down often, causing tenants to get stuck inside. Apartments themselves in dire need of update- no modern amenities in the kitchen save for tiny stove and tiny fridge. Roaches are a problem when transitioning from warm weather to cold. Garbage isn't always taken out frequently enough. Main office closes very early.
