It' not all that bad . . .

Well, we've lived here since June 2004, still live here, and it's not all as bad. I'm sorry some of my neighbors have had a bad experience. We live in a building with mostly older people, no young children (except for us! We have an infant and a toddler) and our building stays relatively quiet. The grounds are well kept, thanks to one of the tenants, not the maintenance crew. They do send out a group of landscapers every now and then, but they come early in the morning and wake everyone up with their power tools and all. Annoying! I don't like the maintenace at all. They are a friendly bunch but good luck getting them to show up and fix something. We asked for our bathroom door to be fixed back in June 2007. It is now November and still nothing. We used to have a loud neighbor who would blast his rap music all day and night long. We complained several times to management, but they did nothing. I've never seen so much as a baby roach here, but mice are always a problem in the fall. I actually killed one with a laundry bottle last year waiting on maintenance to do something (and everyone here keeps a clean house, I know because I know my neighbors and have been to their houses). They need to repaint the parking lot. No one knows where to park, so people double park all the time. And everyone gets their car broken into! They broke into my car twice and tried to break into my husband's car, but it wasn't running. They ruined the key hole on the door and messed up the ignition on my other car. There are some bad kids around here who destroy the little park area they built for the kids (break the swings and litter everywhere. The management didn't even fix anything). I do like the layout of the apartment, though. I love the balcony and the kitchen layout. They will also work with you if something unexpected happens and you are late with your rent. Some apts want to put you out in the street no matter what. Living here isnt so bad, but don't expect to live here problem free. If you can deal with the stuff I and everyone else has, then feel free.
