If you come late from work, DON'T MOVE IN! Waive the security, talking the parking lot, if you come late everyday, don't hope you can find a parking.
for the case of the parking lot at north, there are aproximately 290 parking sharing between 2 building, 300 units in each building, if one car per unit, that mean 600 car per 290 parking, and some unit may has more than 1 car.......
3.
If you love the Kitchen, you like to cook at home, DON'T MOVE IN! No Exhaust fan, there is only a very small hole in the kitchen, whenever you try to make a stir fry, a steak skillet, a pan fry....
the smoke detector will sound.

Move in, you'll be fine. There are lots of international students that live here too, so I think you will like that.

If you are new to this country, avoid Illinois. Its pay for play politics have caused it to be sold to industrial polluters. The air is so foul, you'll get daily headaches and tiredness, and eventually breathing problems (& possibly cancer).
If you're new to Illinois, avoid Chicago. It's the worst in this regard.
If you're new to Chicago, avoid the south side. It's known for its crime. Pollution is also particularly bad, since politicians are easy to sell out the poorest neighborhoods to polluters.
Just some words of wisdom from a long-time Chicago area resident looking to get out.
